I'm Aubree. My husband is Josh. And between us we have seven kids: Trendy, Zaylee, Sunny, Truly, Journey, Rocky, and our baby Disney.
Yeah. Seven.
We're loud, we're a lot, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
You might know us from YouTube (The Jones Fam) or maybe you found me on TikTok or Instagram (@whataboutaub — 5M+ of you hanging out with us and honestly that still makes me emotional??). Either way, we share everything. The good stuff, the hard stuff, the "why is there oatmeal on the ceiling" stuff.
So when I say NOT. Broccoli came from real life — from OUR real life — I need you to believe me. This isn't some brand deal we slapped our name on. This is our thing. Our baby. Baby number eight, if you will. 😂
Here's the whole story.
We Are THOSE People at the Grocery Store
You know the ones.
Standing in the aisle, squinting at the back of every single package, googling ingredients we can't pronounce.
That's us. Every. Single. Time.
Our family is ridiculously picky about what we eat. If we can't understand what's in it, it's staying on the shelf. No junk in the house — that's the rule. And with nine of us eating three meals a day here in Utah... that's a LOT of label reading, friends. 😅
So we'd been wanting to add a greens powder to our routine for a while. Something with real superfoods. Clean ingredients. No artificial garbage. Sounds simple right?
WRONG.
Every single one we tried was either packed with stuff we didn't want, tasted like someone blended a lawn, or — and this was the dealbreaker — the kids absolutely refused to drink it.

Plot Twist: Josh's Chemistry Degree Actually Came in Handy
Ok here's something most people don't know.
Josh has a chemistry degree.
I know right?? This whole time he's had this degree just... sitting there... collecting dust... and FINALLY it became useful. 😂 (Love you babe.)
When we started really diving into the greens powder world, Josh could actually READ those ingredient panels and understand what everything meant. Bioavailability. Absorption rates. Which ingredients are actually doing something vs. which ones are just filler taking up space.
He could call things out. Push back. Ask the hard questions.
And that's how we found Michael — a master formulator who actually got what we were trying to do. That's when things went from "wouldn't it be cool if..." to "ok wait this is actually happening."
The Kids Had Veto Power (and They Used It) 🙅♀️
This is my favorite part of the whole story.
Our kids weren't just taste testers. They were the FINAL BOSSES. 🎮
They sat in on every single tasting. Tried combo after combo after combo. And let me tell you — they were ruthless. Zero filter. If it was gross, you were gonna hear about it. Loudly. With sound effects.
Round after round, we went back to the drawing board. Josh and I were tasting everything too because we wanted something WE'D actually look forward to drinking every morning. Not something we had to plug our nose and power through.
After literally dozens of rounds, two flavors made it through ALL seven kids AND both parents:
Unicorn Punch 🦄 and Peach Ring 🍑
When those two survived the Jones family gauntlet? We looked at each other like... this is it. We actually did it.
The Moment That Made Me Cry (Obviously)
The kids got to tour the actual warehouse and watch NOT. Broccoli being made.
Their little faces when they saw jars with THEIR flavors rolling off the line?? 😭
I'm not gonna lie, I lost it. Like full tears in the warehouse. Super cool and professional of me. But seeing your kids be part of something like that... if you know, you know.
